Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• RN license in state.
• 0–1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Familiar with practical nursing and age-specific care requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to screen and triage acute patients.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses patients’ needs.
• Utilizes multiple data sources to determine health problems and functional status.
• Performs point of care testing.
• Communicate findings effectively to the healthcare team.
• Documentation reflects response to intervention and patient status.
• Identifies patient behaviors contributing to crises; de-escalates as needed.
• Accurately plans nursing interventions for assigned patients.
• Modifies and individualizes Nursing Plan of Care and protocols.
• Participates in multidisciplinary treatment planning.
• Demonstrates prioritization of patient care needs.
• Partners with patients/families to support recovery goals.
• Provides and implements nursing care interventions.
• Establishes therapeutic alliance with assigned patients.
• Promotes safe medication administration with accurate documentation.
• Reviews physician orders in a timely manner.
• Leads patient groups and provides patient education.
• Maintains documentation of care and assessments.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Communicates patient status during rounds and shift reports.
• Uses evidence-based nursing knowledge to guide practice.
• Provides leadership in organizing patient care and supervision.
• Notifies team of availability for additional assignments.
