Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse Resident to provide patient care using the nursing process in the Oncology Progressive unit. You will coordinate care with other departments, uphold patient rights, and maintain confidentiality while aligning with Mercy Service Standards.

The role is part-time (min 32 hours per 2 weeks) with night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, typically 3 shifts per 2 weeks).

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience is preferred.
• BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.

Position Details:

Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse Resident

Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO

Department: Oncology Progressive

Status: Part-Time - min of 32 hours/2 week pay period

Shift: Nights (1900-0730) Typically scheduled 3-12 hour shifts in a 2 week pay period.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 1 year of RN experience is preferred.
• Required Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit specific certifications as required.
• Other:Physical requirements/demands:
  • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
  • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
