Job summary

Hartford HealthCare seeks a registered nurse for the Greater Manchester Region (Manchester Memorial Hospital). The role provides direct and indirect patient-centered care, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team and reporting patient status to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Must meet CT licensure and BLS/ACLS requirements and validate NCLEX completion if graduating soon. Shift details include 7p-7:30a, every other weekend, with opportunities for growth within Hartford HealthCare’s

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current licensure in the State of Connecticut.
• Must have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification within the new employee orientation period.
• Graduate Nurse applicants must pass NCLEX by 90 days of graduation date.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Utilizing the nursing process, provides high quality direct and indirect patient –centered care. Coordinates patient care by working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team. Communicates, as appropriate, the patient's clinical condition, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide age appropriate care to the patient population served. Promotes the profession of nursing and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current licensure in the State of Connecticut.
• Must have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification within the new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment.
• Graduate Nurse applicants must pass NCLEX by 90 days of graduation date.

COMPETENCIES

• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally as well as in writing using the English language.
• Possesses basic computer skills.
