Full-time, night shift with emphasis on evidence-based practice and patient outcomes. Requirements include a BSN in progress or plan to obtain within 3 years, at least 6 months of nursing experience or completion of the Nurse Residency Program, NJ RN license, and BLS/CPR within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• BSN in progress or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Six (6) months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health’s Nurse Residency Program.
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required; BLS/CPR certification by the American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop and coordinate a patient/family-focused plan of care.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Implement age and disease-specific care in an organized manner.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
