Job description

For an accomplished perioperative nurse ready to bring judgment, precision, and calm leadership to every case, this RN Surgery opportunity offers meaningful clinical influence within a close-knit acute care setting. Join a respected surgical team where your experience will be visible, your voice will matter, and each shift will directly shape safe, efficient care for patients across a coastal community.

The healthcare organization offers the accessibility and collegiality experienced nurses value: supportive leadership, interdisciplinary partnership, clinician autonomy, and a culture built around accountability rather than bureaucracy. A structured onboarding process supports an effective transition, while an emphasis on staffing continuity and collaborative practice creates room to build trusted relationships, expand perioperative expertise, and pursue long-term professional growth.

Within Surgical Services, the RN Surgery will coordinate care throughout the perioperative continuum, balancing hands-on nursing practice with real-time operational awareness. This fast-moving Operating Room environment requires sound assessment, sterile technique, patient advocacy, accurate documentation, and proactive communication across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative workflows. As part of a collaborative surgical team, the nurse will work closely with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, nursing colleagues, and ancillary departments while helping maintain readiness, throughput, quality standards, and a consistently safe patient care environment.

Operating within the Surgery Department's nursing structure, this OR RN will receive support from nursing leadership while retaining meaningful authority at the point of care. Responsibilities include coordinating case needs, anticipating procedural requirements, supporting staff development, escalating operational concerns, and contributing to quality improvement. Strong physician relationships and visible interdisciplinary teamwork will allow this nurse to influence workflow, reinforce clinical standards, and advance shared patient care and organizational goals without stepping away from direct practice.

Life on the Southern Oregon Coast offers a rare combination of natural beauty, relaxed community character, and everyday access to the outdoors. Beaches, forest trails, rivers, fishing, hiking, and year-round coastal recreation create an appealing counterbalance to a demanding clinical career. The region also offers manageable commutes and a welcoming community atmosphere, making it attractive to professionals seeking more space, a slower pace, and a genuine connection to their surroundings.

The selected RN Surgery can expect a market-competitive compensation range, with specific details shared early in the confidential recruitment process, along with a comprehensive benefits package that may include medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement options, paid time off, continuing education support, and professional or leadership development resources.
