Job summary

CoxHealth in Springfield, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the 8E Observation Unit. This night-shift role focuses on delivering bedside nursing care to patients with medical or surgical needs, coordinating care across ED, inpatient wards, and discharge planning.

You will assess patients, administer medications, monitor vitals, change dressings, document care, and educate patients and families. Active Missouri RN license and BLS within 90 days are required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Missouri RN license with active status.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and respond to changes in status.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs.
• Change dressings and provide wound care as indicated.
• Document care accurately and communicate with team.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge needs.
• Collaborate with ED, inpatient wards, and observation unit staff.
