Job summary

Prime Healthcare Olympia Field Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Observation department, working full-time nights (7:00pm–7:30am) on a 3-12 hour shift rotation.

The role requires active RN licensure, BLS, ACLS within 30 days, and preferred BSN. Experience in acute care and ventilator management is preferred. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license is required.
• Current BLS certification on hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within Med/Surg/Telemetry unit.
• Guide patient/family teaching and supervise nursing staff.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in clinical condition and test results.
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and treatment responses.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to their assigned patients. They communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $35.35 to $53.58.
