Job summary

IU Health is seeking an RN for our OBGYN Clinic in Bloomington. This PRN Day shift role focuses on pregnancy-related care, with no weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements.

Responsibilities include non-stress tests, vaccine administration, and prenatal education, in a supportive outpatient setting. Minimum one year of RN experience is required; upcoming graduates may apply through our pipeline requisition.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in Indiana or an NLC RN license.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program; exceptions reviewed by CNO for non-accredited programs with >2 years relevant clinical experience.
• Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

• Perform and interpret non-stress tests.
• Administer vaccines.
• Deliver prenatal education.
• Provide pre- and post-operative teaching.
• Manage telephone triage.

Qualifications:

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of relevant clinical experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
• Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
