Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency, LLC in Alaska is seeking a dedicated maternity nurse to join a birthing team in a hospital setting. You will provide individualized nursing care during labor and postparturm, care for newborns, and educate families on childbirth, breastfeeding, and infant care.

The role requires an active Alaska RN license with BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS within 6 months. Prior labor and delivery experience is preferred; expect lifting up to 50 lbs and occasional floats to the acute care

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Alaska with BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications.
• PALS required within 6 months.
• Prior labor and delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care during labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn support.
• Educate families on childbirth, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being and develop patient care plans based on assessments and patient input.
• Administer medications, perform procedures, and respond to changing patient conditions, ensuring safety and quality care.
• Supervise support staff, serve as charge nurse when needed, and support safety protocols and quality initiatives.
• Familiarity with EHR systems.
• Position involves physical activity, including lifting up to 50 lbs; floats to the acute care department as needed.
