Job summary

Guthrie is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care in an acute care setting in Sayre, PA. This per diem role emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient advocacy, and collaboration with the healthcare team.

The RN will assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care, maintain patient safety, and participate in ongoing professional development while leveraging electronic health records.

Qualifications

• BSN in Nursing preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience as a registered nurse, or less than 1 year if transitioned from the Newly Licensed Registered Nurse Residency (NLRN) Program.
• Current RN License in Pennsylvania.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS and PALS are unit dependent.
• Specialty Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patients' care.
• Develop, update, and coordinate the patients' plan of care.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care in care planning.
• Foster a learning environment for patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Ensure safety by identifying and correcting problems in nursing care.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and practice at the top of license.
• Demonstrate leadership as a change agent within the care setting.
