Job summary

Mercy Hospital in Choctaw, OK is seeking a Nights, Full Time RN to join the Neonatal ICU, working 36 hours per week, providing direct patient care using the nursing process and ensuring safety.

You will collaborate with the care team, advocate for newborns, document accurately, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality while contributing to Mercy's mission of compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Current RN license in the hiring state (OK) and meet state board requirements.
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds, standing/walking long shifts.

• Maintains accountability for care provided and coordinates with other departments.

Overview:

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit specific certifications as required
