Valley Hope in O'Neill, NE is seeking a Registered Nurse for the nights shift to join our dedicated team. This full-time role includes a $15,000 sign-on bonus and on-site work in a residential treatment setting focused on compassionate patient care from admission to discharge.

Nurses provide care over 30-45 days of treatment, administer treatments per our medical philosophies, document activities, and collaborate with supervisors to ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nursing is required.
• Licensed to practice in the state of employment.
• CPR certification is required or preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Executes prescribed treatments and medication interventions for each patient.
• Implements nursing care per Valley Hope policies to ensure quality patient care.
• Conducts detox admissions and provides patient care during detoxification.
• Records treatment activities and observations in patient records accurately and timely.
• Communicates with nursing supervisors and staff regarding patients’ treatment and status.
• Maintains infection control and HIPAA compliance.
• Oversees non-licensed nursing staff under supervision.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Associate’s degree in nursing
• Licensed as a Nurse to practice in the state of employment.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

COMPENSATION:

• Starting base pay is $37 - $42/hr (based on education and experience)
• $15,000 Sign-On Bonus (paid out over a 2 year period)

Shift Differentials:

• Night: $4.25

JOB SUMMARY:

• Executes prescribed treatments and medication interventions as established for each patient.
• Implements nursing care in accordance with Valley Hope’s medical philosophies, policies, and procedures as well as any other regulating bodies to ensure quality patient care.
• Conducts detox admissions and provides patient care during patient detoxification process including pre-screening of patients, obtaining physical assessment data and health history, administering detox treatment plans, and monitoring of patient.
• Records treatment activities and patient observations in patient records accurately and timely; completes paperwork requirements as needed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Communicates with nursing supervisors, nursing staff, and clinical staff regarding patients’ treatment and status.
• Maintains a safe and sanitary environment applying infection control techniques and universal precautions.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures regarding patient information protection and HIPPA.
• Assists with detox admissions and provides patient care support during patient detoxification process including pre-screening of patients, obtaining physical assessment data and health history, administering detox treatment plans, and monitoring of patient.
• Records treatment activities and patient observations in patient records accurately and timely; completes paperwork requirements as needed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Oversees non-licensed nursing staff as instructed by and under the direction of the facility Nursing Director.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Residential treatment facility setting; requires walking throughout the facility.
• Direct contact with patients.
