Sierra Medical Center in Reno, NV is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe, patient-centered postpartum care and leadership for the healthcare team. The role emphasizes compassionate, evidence-based nursing practices aligned with our mission and patient-centered care philosophy.

The RN will educate patients and families, develop care plans, and collaborate with the care team to meet discharge goals while upholding Service Excellence standards across shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current Nevada nursing license.
• Current BLS certificate. NRP within 6 mo. of hire. STABLE within 6 mo. of hire.
• Two years nursing experience required.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Responsabilités

• Educate and assist new mothers with physical and emotional needs during the postpartum period, while in the hospital setting.
• Care for the infants and educate mothers about care.
• Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill.
• Develops goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient/family needs.

Job summary:

Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
