Job summary

Endeavor Health in Naperville, IL is seeking a highly skilled RN for our Level III NICU to provide professional neonatal nursing care and support family-centered care.

This full-time night-shift role offers a $37.25–$57.74 hourly range depending on experience, a $25,000 sign-on bonus for candidates with 18+ months in NICU, 36 hours/week, and occasional floating to related units.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing.
• If ADN is highest degree, must obtain Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of start date.
• At least 1 year of experience in Level III/IV NICU setting.
• Current Illinois RN licensure.
• Current BLS through AHA.
• NRP certification within six months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care per Illinois RN Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Employs critical thinking, assesses conditions, plans and evaluates care, monitors progress and documents observations.
• Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff.
• Works as a team member to achieve unit goals; duties may vary by unit or shift.

Hourly Pay Range:

$37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

Sign On Bonus: $25,000 for candidates with at least 18 months of experience within NICU clinical specialty (with parameters) Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) 35 bed unit with strong family centered care and single room setup

Full Time:

36 hours/week

Hours:

Nights 7 PM - 7 AM including every 3rd weekend rotation and rotating holidays

Travel Required:

Occasional floating into Peds/PICU, Special Care Nursery, and Mother Baby

What you will do:

Provides professional nursing care according in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act, and hospital policies and procedures. Employs critical thinking skills, assesses patients’ condition, recognizes changes, plans and evaluates care, monitors patients’ progress, and records pertinent observations. Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff. Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals. What you will need:

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing
• If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date (effective September 1, 2021)
• At least 1 years of experience in Level III/IV NICU setting
• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
• Current BLS through AHA
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP) within six months of start date into position
