Job summary

Rezult Group is seeking an RN for an occupational health clinic in New Haven, CT. The assignment runs 11 to 13 weeks, with weekdays from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Start date ASAP, onsite position, local pay rate and travel stipends included.

The RN will draw blood, administer vaccinations, perform health screenings, and support patient flow under physician supervision. CT license and BLS/CPR required; ER/occupational health experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of total RN experience
• At least 2 years in ER, Occupational Health, Urgent Care or Critical Care
• Experience with emergency response, drawing blood and administering vaccinations
• RN license in CT or compact
• BLS or CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Draws blood and administers vaccinations.
• Evaluate patient care needs, prioritize treatment, and maintain patient flow.
• Conducts nursing assessments with history, physical, vital signs and tests.
• Provides treatment within scope of practice as defined by state law.
• Collaborates with Physician or LIP for further medical treatment.
• Identifies equipment needing repair and notifies lead clinician.
• Performs occupational and health screening tests (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
• Documents nursing assessments, treatments, medications, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
• Maintains infection control and patient privacy; ensures a safe environment.
• Participates in follow-up calls and follow-up visits.

• Local Pay Rate Range: $55 to $65 an hour
• Travel Pay: $2600 a week gross pay / Travel Stipend: $1484 a week

Job Description

• RN needed for occupational health clinic.
• Draws blood and administers vaccinations.
• Uses nursing skills to evaluate patient care needs, prioritize treatment, and maintain patient flow.
• Conducts a nursing assessment by taking a patient history and physical assessment and by obtaining vital signs and other medical tests.
• Provides treatment within scope of practice as defined by state law.
• Collaborates with Physician or other Licensed Independent Practitioner to arrange for further medical treatment, when needed.
• Identifies equipment that needs repair and brings it to the attention of the lead clinician.
• Performs occupational and health screening tests as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
• Conducts appropriate laboratory tests and quality control procedures.
• Documents accurately all elements of nursing assessment, treatments, medications administered, discharge instructions provided, and follow up care arranged.
• Evaluates health education/promotion needs of patients and provides necessary training and instruction.
• Identifies emergency situations and provides care within legal scope of practice.
• Administers medications and medical treatments competently as directed by a Physician or Licensed Independent Practitioner.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment. Follows infection control procedures.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidential patient information.
• Participates in follow up phone calls and follow up patient visits.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of total RN experience required.
• At least 2 years of RN specialty experience in ER, Occupational Health, Urgent Care or Critical Care required.
• Must have experience with emergency response, drawing blood and administering vaccinations.
• RN license in CT or compact required.
• BLS or CPR certification required.
