Job summary

Northeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, TX seeks a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate nursing care under minimal supervision within a supportive environment focused on growth and work-life balance.

This role may qualify for a sign-on bonus. Requires Texas RN license, BLS, and orientation-completion for ACLS/PALS/TNCC/ENPC as applicable. Prior acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Texas State RN license required.
• Two years in acute care preferred.
• Must have current BLS; ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC coordinated per orientation.

Responsibilities

• Under minimal supervision, provides nursing care for a group of patients based on needs and nurse competencies.
• Completes established competencies within designated introductory period.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited school of nursing.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Two years in acute care preferred

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse

REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR):

Adult Ed

• Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.


• AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role *Should be completed before the end of the orientation period


• AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role *Should be completed before the end of the orientation period. NOTE: PALS is not required in Adult ED at North Central Baptist Hospital.


• TNCC within 1 year of date of hire or transfer date into unit


• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention must be obtained with 60 days of hire date or transfer to position


• ENPC is preferred

Pediatric Ed

• Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
