Job summary

Tenet Healthcare in Texas is hiring a registered nurse to care for a group of patients under minimal supervision, matching needs with competency. You will complete required competencies within the introductory period and perform related duties as assigned.

The role requires a Texas RN license and a Bachelor's degree; two years in acute care is preferred (med/surg, telemetry or ICU). BLS is required for all units, ACLS within 6 months, PALS/NRP/ST.A.B.L.E.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Texas State RN license.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two years in acute care preferred (med/surg, telemetry or ICU).
• BLS required for all units; ACLS within 6 months; PALS within 6 months for PICU; NRP within 6 months for NICU; S.T.A.B.L.E. within 6 months for NICU Level 2 (renewal not required).

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE

Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse

REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR)

• BLS required for all units-Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network.


• ACLS required for Adult Critical Care, Telemetry, Interim Critical Care units within 6 months of date of hire or transfer date into unit


• PALS required for PICU within 6 months of date of hire or transfer date into unit


• NRP required for NICU within 6 months of date of hire or transfer date into unit


• S.T.A.B.L.E. for NICU- Level 2 Nursery-Must provide proof of prior completion or obtain within 6 months of hire or transfer date into unit (Renewal is not required).
