Job summary

Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, RI, Part Time 24 Hrs, 12 Hr Night Shift, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Float unit. The RN provides direct patient care, assesses conditions, and collaborates with physicians to adjust care plans in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Current state RN license and BLS are required; ACLS is preferred and should be obtained within 30 days of hire. Preference given to those with acute care experience and BSN.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate preferred or required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and respond quickly to deterioration.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He / She communicates with physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
