Exeter Hospital, now part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, offers a year-long Nurse Residency Program to newly licensed nurses with hands-on clinical experience and interprofessional collaboration. The program includes orientation, varied patient exposure, and mentorship from experienced preceptors and educators. Shifts run 7:00 a.m.

As a nurse resident, you will join a community of dedicated and caring practitioners. Our year‑long Nurse Residency Program gives you the foundation of skills that you will use throughout your nursing career. Get hands‑on clinical experience with a variety of patients while collaborating with experienced preceptors, committed nurse educators, and supportive managers and colleagues. During your residency you will be surrounded by a dedicated community of experienced nurses and fellow nurse residents that will work in tandem to deliver the exceptional patient experience.
Shift: 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.; every 3rd weekend. Float Pool may cover the following areas: Med‑surg/tele, may include PCU, and ED holds. 10% Float Differential will be available after completion of program.
0-6 months experience | BSN preferred | Registered Nurse – NH or other compact state BCLS certified – for select nursing positions within 30 days.
The Nurse Residency Program begins with Corporate and Nursing & Clinical Orientation and concludes after successfully completing all required courses and associated competencies, and at least 50% of the elective courses (approximately 8 months). Pay Range: $35.00 - $63.15. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
