Job summary

Westgate Surgery Center is hiring a Registered Nurse New Grad to deliver high-quality nursing care in an ambulatory surgery setting. The RN will assist physicians during procedures, including conscious sedation, and perform sterile techniques as required.

Care includes post-anesthesia assessment and discharge planning for patients and families. The role requires graduation from an accredited RN program, active RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS (PALS as needed).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

The Registered Nurse New Grad provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient’s condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.
