Job summary

Saint Luke's North Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Neurosurgery clinic at the Saint Luke's Plaza location. The role is full-time days, Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm, with no nights or weekends. Valid MO and KS RN licenses and BLS are required.

Clinic or inpatient Neuroscience experience is preferred. Responsibilities include professional nursing care, telephone triage, patient flow coordination, education, and collaboration with providers.

Qualifications

• 1 year of nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for clinic patients per established standards.
• Perform telephone triage, patient flow, and care coordination.
• Schedule emergent appointments and educate patients and families.
• Delegate tasks to staff within scope of practice.
• Educate patients and document care and testing.
• Enter orders as directed by provider.
• Cover Medical Assistant/LPN duties as needed.

We are hiring a Registered Nurse for our Neurosurgery clinic at our Saint Luke's Plaza location!

Full Time Days

• Monday - Friday; 8am-4pm
• No nights or weekends.
• RN MO and KS required
• BLS required
• Previous clinic or inpatient experience in Neuroscience preferred

In clinic setting:

• Provide professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.
• Provide telephone triage, patient flow, and coordination of patient care.
• Schedule emergent need patient appointments, identify learning needs for patients and families, provide advice and recommendations, insert intravenous access with medication administration and duties as assigned based on clinic need.
• Delegate tasks to clinical staff in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice.
• Serve as subject matter expert for patient education, assessment, interpretation, and documentation of patient care and testing.
• Enter admission orders as directed by provider.
• Manage expired samples.
• Able to work in a team atmosphere as well as autonomously.
• Provide excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor at all times.
• May cover Medical Assistant, LPN, or other office duties as needed.
