AdventHealth in Punta Gorda, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time day shift. The role involves assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and delivering high-quality nursing care alongside a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications include an RN license and BLS, with an associate degree required and a BSN preferred. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates, with comprehensive benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
• RN license is required with BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
• Develop and implement patient care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in IVs, wound care, meds, catheterization, and specimen collection.
• Advocate for patient safety and rights.
• Provide patient/family education and assess learning needs.
• Encourage engagement through motivational interviewing and teach-back.
• Deliver relationship-based care with cultural sensitivity.
• Delegate tasks to non-RN personnel per policy.
• Coordinate group visits for high-risk patients and assist in transitions.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement and patient satisfaction.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

• $3,000 Sign On Bonus for Eligible Candidates
• Shift: Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM

• Assesses patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interviews, and review of medical records and clinical data.
• Develops and implements patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, observing outcomes in accordance with nursing standards.
• Demonstrates competency in therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection.
• Advocates for and protects the health, safety, and rights of each patient.
• Provides patient and family education based on assessment of learning readiness, needs, and ability, and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching.
• Encourages patient engagement in healthcare through motivational interviewing, self-management protocols, and teach-back methodology.
• Delivers relationship-based care, engaging patients in all aspects of care with respect for cultural differences and diversity.
• Delegates tasks to non-RN personnel in accordance with State Board of Nursing and hospital policy.
• Coordinates and implements group visits for identified high-risk patient populations.
• Aids in the care transition of high-risk patients, including medication reconciliation and coordination of services.
• Contributes to continuous process improvement by actively participating in patient experience and satisfaction initiatives.
