Job Responsibilities:

1. The Staff Registered Nurse is responsible for managing and delivering patient care using the nursing process. This may include floating to other units and participating in on-call status.
2. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals based on patient contact level.
3. Manages the documentation and delivery of patient care, including assessments, care planning, interventions, and evaluation.
4. Supervises and coordinates care provided by licensed and non-licensed personnel, providing mentorship as appropriate.
5. Reports to the appropriate manager, director, or VP.
6. Must be able to assist with physical restraint of patients using the Behavior Management Technique System.
7. Follows standard precautions to minimize exposure to infections, blood, body fluids, and chemicals.

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure in Oklahoma or multistate license via Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Current BLS certification (or complete within 30 days of hire).
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Department-specific competencies during orientation.

Additional Requirements by Department:

• Hospice: CPR required; CHPN preferred; valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, proof of auto insurance.
• Radiology: ACLS certification required.
• Employee Health: Same as above.
• Mental Health: Ability to operate INTEGRIS or personal vehicle, valid Oklahoma driver’s license, acceptable driving record.
• Emergency Department: PALS within 12 months; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
