Job summary

Ascension in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Neuro ICU for night shifts. You will implement and monitor patient care plans and coordinate care across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated treatment.

This role requires an RN license from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing, with ALS within 6 months and BLS within 1 month of hire, and a nursing diploma. Join a leading nonprofit health system that values service, growth and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Advanced Life Support (ALS) obtained within 6 months of hire date or transfer date.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or transfer date.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing prior to hire date or current home state license if multi-state/Compact State.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
