Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for night shifts in a neurosurgical/neurology unit. You will lead coordination and delivery of high-quality patient care, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients and their families.

Experience in a Neuro ICU is advantageous, with orientation tracks and specialized monitoring. ACLS/NIH Stroke Certification will be provided; BSN preferred and strong communication skills are

GENERAL SUMMARY:

About the Department

• Busy, neurosurgical and neurology department. Managed by a Neuro ICU team (neuro intensivist NP and fellows and residents).
• NIH Stroke Certification and ACLS will be provided
• Teaching environment. 2 tracks experienced 12 weeks orientation, new (novice) 16 weeks. One advantage to working in a Neuro ICU we have unique monitoring, intracranial monitoring of patients, monitoring for drains out of the brain. High Excellence for stroke care.

• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
