The RN coordinates care efforts of the multidisciplinary team, provides direct patient care, collaborates with families and healthcare professionals, and utilizes the nursing process to improve patient outcomes. Demonstrating leadership, accountability, and adherence to standards, the RN advocates for patients and advances professional growth.

Key Contributions

• Ensure patient safety by following policies and utilizing safety resources.
• Prioritize nursing interventions based on patient needs.
• Participate in bedside reports, safety huddles, and patient rounds for effective communication and care continuity.
• Provide patient education and discharge planning to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Kansas Registered Nurse License
• BCLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or within 4 years of employment
