Schedule:Full Time, M-F 8a-5p 40hrs a week
The community you’ll be caring for:
Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando
Serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America
AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country
We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year
You Will Be Responsible For:
Collaborates with clinical and other administrative staff, and referring providers in navigating patients from treatment planning, medical management, and surveillance assuring patients have appropriate, timely medical and supportive services.
Serve as an education resource for patients and families on treatment planning and medical management.
Assists patients with connecting to resources and support services
Facilitates communication between healthcare team, patients, other departments, and outside entities by answering phone calls, responding to emails and messages to/from EMR and patient portal.
Act as a liaison across multidisciplinary team to ensure proper orders, medical records, consents, and any other required documentation/criteria are received.
Facilitates ‘on time’ coordination of care with physicians and supportive services departments.
Maintains a professional relationship with customers/patients and team members.
Qualifications
What Will You Need:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
· 1+ years of professional nursing experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
· Bachelor’s degree in nursing
· 3+ years of professional nursing experience in oncology
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
· Current valid State of FloridaRN license.
· Basic Life Support (BLS)
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
· National Certification: Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) through the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation.
