Job summary

Baptist Health Care in Navarre, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Navarre FSED on the mid/evening shift. You will provide professional nursing care, perform assessments, administer medications, and coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates hold 1+ year of nursing experience, Florida RN licensure (or compact state eligibility), and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. This full-time role requires strong communication and documentation through the nursing process.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma/Certificate in Nursing or an Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license for the State of Florida or eligible compact state upon hire; BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required (PALS within 90 days).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; basic computer skills.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing services and patient care in variety of settings. This position follows established nursing process, including patient assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. This position ensures adherence to hospital or department policies, and nursing procedures, standards, and practices. Manages individualized, goal directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and Hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

What you will do

• Assesses, identifies, and prioritizes patient and family needs to provide quality care to all patients. Develops, discusses, and communicates plan of care for each patient in collaboration with the care team.
• Safely delivers medications and treatments. Monitors and documents patient responses and upholds all safety policies and protocols including patient identification, risk mitigation ensuring a safe individualized plan of care.
• Performs continuous patient assessment, detects changes in condition, and communicates with appropriate care team members to support prompt clinical decision making.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
• Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a department/unit to facility meeting goals and objectives.
• Maintains current documentation and required licensure, certifications, required education, and competencies in accordance with unit scope of service and professional standards. Pursues professional growth and development.
