Job summary

HCA HealthONE Swedish in Colorado is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse Multi-Trauma to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. The RN provides pre-operative and post-operative care in collaboration with medical providers and acts as an advocate for patients to support an exceptional experience.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

The Registered Nursedemonstratesadvanced knowledge,skillsand understands the unique aspects of the population servedin the care of his/her patients.Each service also requires specialized skills.The delivery of care is based on the physical, psychosocial, cultural,safetyand learning needs of the individual patient.The Registered Nurse may rotate to areas other than his/her assigned service area/s, andwill perform only those duties for which he/she hasdemonstratedcompetency.The Registered Nurse performs delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery at SMC

What you will do in this role:

  • Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.

  • Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
  • Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado, or multistate license
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school
  • One or more years of RN experience preferred
  • Current ACLS Certification through AHA or ARC within 30 days of starting for new hires. Existing colleagues must receive ACLS by 09/01/2026
