Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking passionate, experienced nurses to join our team on the Multi-Specialty MedSurg unit (6S) at Methodist Hospital. The position is night shift, part-time, referral eligible with new hourly location differentials.

Requires ASN; BSN preferred; active Indiana RN license or NLC; BLS certification; opportunities to care for diverse conditions across urology, colorectal, gynecology, general surgery, ENT and trauma.

  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

Shift: Night Shift - Part Time

Unit Acuity Level: MedSurg

Hospital: Methodist

This position is referral eligible and currently qualifies for a NEW hourly location differential in addition to standard shift and holiday differentials.

About the Unit:

Indiana University Health Multi-Specialty MedSurg (6S) is a fast-paced, 30-bed unit that specializes in caring for a diverse patient population. Patients on this unit may present with conditions related to urology, colorectal, gynecology, general surgery, ENT, and oral and maxillofacial surgery, trauma. Due to the wide range of diagnoses treated on the unit, nurses gain valuable experience caring for a variety of medical and surgical patients.

Qualifications
  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Education: The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
