Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including IV starts and telemetry monitoring.
• Manage a patient load with a target ratio of 1:6.
• Work 12-hour night shifts, with a requirement to work every other weekend.
• Float to different units occasionally as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role (1.5 years with strong experience considered).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Proficiency in using Pyxis, SBAR, and EPIC systems.
• Must pass EKG testing prior to starting for this specialty.
  
  

Contract Details

• Contract length: 13 weeks.
• Work hours: 36 or 48 hours per week. Note: No overtime for 48-hour contracts until after 48 hours.
• Self-scheduling based on unit needs with input from the nurse manager.
• Unit orientation: 36 hours.
  
  

Additional Information

• Locals are accepted with a possible rate difference.
• Block scheduling requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the unit manager.
• Scrubs: Navy blue or white.
  
  

Note: Request for time off (RTO) after booking is not allowed and must be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could result in cancellation and a do-not-return (DNR) status. However, the unit manager is willing to work with staff in emergent situations if they are willing to make up the time at the end of their contract.
