Certification Requirements

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Preferred: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Note: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is not required

• Minimum 2 years of experience in telemetry nursing
• Proficiency in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  
  

Patient Care and Unit Details

• Adult patients only with diagnoses including diabetes, congestive heart failure, infections, sepsis, COPD, and more
• Special procedures include large orthopedic programs, colorectal surgeries, and bariatric surgery
• Equipment: Patient lifts, CADD pump, chest tubes, telemetry monitoring, capnography
• Patient-to-nurse ratio: 1:5
• Average Daily Census: 30
• Rooms: 34

• Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Scrubs: Caribbean Blue (not provided)
