Aspirus MedEvac in Mosinee, WI is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our emergency transport team. The RN will provide safe, comprehensive care for critically ill and/or injured patients in pre-hospital settings and during inter-facility transports, applying evidence-based practice and EMS principles.

The role offers full-time or 0.9 FTE options with 72 hours per pay period across four 12-hour shifts (Fri-Mon).

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license required (state of WI)
• BLS/CPR certification required
• EMT or ParamedicMI credentials recommended
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Online Transport Prof. Advanced Trauma Course preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care for critically ill/injured patients in pre-hospital and inter-facility transport settings.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care with evidence-based practice.
• Demonstrate knowledge of EMS regulations and scope of practice while working under supervision of MedEvac leadership.

Aspirus MedEvac in Mosinee, WI is seeking a REGISTERED NURSE to join our team!

The Registered Nurse is a professional who assumes responsibility and accountability for the provision of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care provided that incorporates evidence-based practice. A key aspect of the work of Nursing is to continually improve the quality of nursing care by collecting and analyzing data.

Under the direction and supervision of the Manager - MedEvac and/or their designee, this position is responsible for providing safe, comprehensive care for critically ill and/or injured patients of all ages. Care is provided in the pre-hospital setting and during inter-facility transports (IFT) by understanding and applying the specialized principles and techniques of transport paramedic practice, emergency procedures and diagnostics.

HOURS: Full-Time or .9 FTE, 72 hours every pay period. (4) 12-hour shifts per week (Friday-Monday)

Experience/Qualifications:

• Knowledge of patient care standards and practices is normally acquired through completion of a nursing program. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Previous 2 years in hospital critical care.
• Medical transport experience is beneficial.
• Active Wisconsin RN license.
• Active Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• Current BLS certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider Course
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider Course
• Valid Driver's License in the State of residence.
• Completes all annual recurrent competency requirements.
• Is responsible for knowledge of and performing within the regulations and scope of practice of the EMS licensing agencies.

Aspirus MedEvac medical transportation service provides 24-hour emergency air and ground medical transport for critically ill and injured individuals of North Central Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. We are dedicated to providing the highest standard of care and safety to our patients. Aspirus MedEvac operates critical care ground transfer ambulances from Wisconsin ground bases in Weston, Mosinee, Wisconsin Rapids, Medford, Plover, Portage, Rhinelander, Eagle River, Woodruff and Upper Michigan bases in Ontonagon, Iron River and Crystal Falls. In addition to the Critical care Ground Transports, Aspirus MedEvac also provides 911 coverage for Iron County MI, Lincoln County WI, Oneida County WI, Taylor County WI, Vilas County WI, and Watersmeet MI.
