Job summary

Aspirus MedEvac in Rhinelander, WI is seeking a Paramedic to join our team. You will provide safe, comprehensive care to critically ill or injured patients in the pre-hospital setting and during inter-facility transports.

This full-time position offers 12-hour shifts (2 on- 2 off- 3 on), a full benefits package, PTO accrual from day one, and opportunities to advance your skills within a respected, community-focused air and ground transport system.

Qualifications

• Paramedic licensure and ongoing certification in EMS.
• Current BLS and ACLS required.
• Minimum 1 year field experience in 911 or ED preferred.
• WI and MI paramedic licenses or dual license within 120 days.
• Valid driver's license in state of residency.
• NRP license preferred.
• CEVO/EVOC or similar training.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comprehensive care to critically ill or injured patients in pre-hospital settings.
• Perform inter-facility transports as needed.
• Maintain and update certifications and credentials.

Aspirus MedEvac in Rhinelander, WI is seeking a PARAMEDIC to join our team!

Paramedic is responsible for providing safe, comprehensive care to critically ill and/or injured patients of all ages. Care is provided in the pre-hospital setting and during inter-facility transports by understanding and applying the specialized principles and techniques of transport paramedic practice, emergency procedures and diagnostics.

HOURS

Full Time or 1.0 FTE, 12-hour shifts (2on-2off-3on)

Experience/Qualifications:

• Knowledge of emergency patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of an accredited Paramedic program.
• Preferred a minimum of 1 year (2080 hours) current field experience in 911 or ED.
• Active Paramedic license/certification in the State of Wisconsin and Michigan or will obtain dual license within 120 days of hire.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• Possesses a valid Driver's license in the state of residency.
• Current Paramedic National Registry license is preferred.
• Certified Emergency Vehicle Operations (CEVO) or Emergency Vehicle Operating Certification (EVOC) or training.

Aspirus MedEvac medical transportation service provides 24-hour emergency air and ground medical transport for critically ill and injured individuals of North Central Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. We are dedicated to providing the highest standard of care and safety to our patients. Aspirus MedEvac operates critical care ground transfer ambulances from Wisconsin ground bases in Weston, Mosinee, Wisconsin Rapids, Medford, Plover, Portage, Rhinelander, Eagle River, Woodruff and Upper Michigan bases in Ontonagon, Iron River and Crystal Falls. In addition to the Critical care Ground Transports, Aspirus MedEvac also provides 911 coverage for Iron County MI, Lincoln County WI, Oneida County WI, Taylor County WI, Vilas County WI, and Watersmeet MI. The ground units are staffed with Critical Care Paramedics, Registered Nurses and EMTs. MedEvac air is staffed with a pilot, a Flight Nurse and a Flight Paramedic and is capable of transporting one patient.
