Job summary

Sioux Center Health in Sioux Center, IA, is seeking an Registered Nurse to join our care team. The RN assists the Resource Nurse with patient care, teaching, and nursing diagnoses, supporting our faith-based healing mission.

Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Iowa RN license. Responsibilities include bedside care, assessments, discharge planning, medication administration, and coordinating rounds with physicians, within 8- to 12-hour shift rotations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure in Iowa.
• Experience in inpatient nursing is preferred but not required.
• Bi-lingual experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assign patients to team members to provide the best nursing care.
• Log into Vocera and update patient information on electronic boards.
• Perform patient assessments, hourly rounding, and admissions notes.
• Coordinate rounds with physicians and communicate new orders.
• Provide bedside care, discharge planning, and teaching.
• Administer medications and review orders as directed.
• Record and document clinical data including narcotics counts and charges.
• Participate in in-services and staff meetings.
