Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the CCU/MICU in the night shift at CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO. You will manage care for critically ill patients, administer medications, monitor vitals, and educate families, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include Missouri RN license and BLS within 90 days. Prior nursing experience is preferred, with opportunities for professional credentialing and a clinical ladder program offered by the hospital.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• RN license active in the state of Missouri.
• BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Previous nursing experience preferred.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for managing the care of the patients experiencing medical conditions or surgical procedures. The nurse must be able to assess patient condition, administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, keep records and provide patients and families with support and education. The Registered Nurse maintains a wide array of medical care knowledge in order to care for a diverse group of patients.

Education

• Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Experience

• Preferred: Previous nursing experience
