Job description

The Nurse/Health Care Manager furthers the mission of YMCA Camp Bernie by overseeing the health and wellness of all camp participants. The Nurse/Health Care Manager ensures and provides for adequate physical conditions for all.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Oversee the management and operations of the Wellness Center.
   • Design and implement a system for health screening all arriving and departing campers and staff, including out of camp trips.
   • Conduct inventory of supplies and place orders when necessary (in consultation with Summer Camp Coordinator and Executive Director), ensuring timely arrival of supplies.
   • Coordinate coverage of the health center and post hours for daily medications and health calls.

Camp Details:
- Day camp for grades K-10; Overnight camp for grades 2-10
- Dates: Training starts June 6th, with the main training on June 9th. Early move-in available on June 7th or 8th.
- Last day of day camp: August 22nd; Overnight camp ends August 15th.
- Duration: Day Camp 11 weeks; Overnight Camp 10 weeks, with some overlap.
- Accommodations: If the RN is not local, a room in the wellness center (bedroom, shower, kitchenette, etc.) is provided free of charge.
- Food: Three meals a day covered.
- Coverage: 24/7, requiring one RN for the entire duration.

Requirements

• Must have NJ license.
• Ability to work with boys & girls grades K-10.
• BLS certification.
• Dates: Training starts June 6th, main training June 9th. Early move-in June 7th or 8th. Last day August 22nd for day camp; August 15th for overnight.
• Coverage is 24/7, with one RN needed for the entire duration.

Preferred Requirements
