Job Description

This position is still at the proposal stage and is awaiting award.

We are seeking highly skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Medical-Surgical, Orthopedic, or Cardiac Units, where they will provide specialized care to patients with a variety of medical conditions. RNs will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of military and civilian healthcare professionals to deliver timely and individualized interventions, ensuring optimal outcomes for our patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, monitoring vital signs, managing complex medical conditions, and implementing protocols to maintain a safe and supportive environment for all patients in our care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to individuals undergoing treatment for a range of medical conditions, conducting thorough assessments and continuous monitoring of vital signs and overall health status.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of military and civilian healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans for patients.
  • Adhere to strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe and sterile environment for both patients and staff.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate vital signs and patient progress accurately and in real-time to facilitate timely interventions.
  • Prepare, manage, and operate necessary medical equipment and supplies relevant to medical-surgical, orthopedic, or cardiac care procedures and treatments.
  • Actively support the healthcare team during critical interventions by anticipating needs and providing prompt assistance.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, recovery expectations, and available resources for ongoing care and support.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with all institutional policies and healthcare regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records in accordance with healthcare standards and regulations to promote high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements/Certifications:

  • Must have a valid unrestricted RN license from any US State or territory.
  • Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of 1-2 Years of experience in specialty in the last 3-5 years.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or prior experience in a military or government healthcare facility is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods.
  • May be exposed to contagious diseases, radiation, and high-stress environments.

Other Special Qualifications:

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate.
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
  • Pass/possess VA Public Trust Clearance.

Additional Information

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.

Compensation: Min: $30hr Max: $50hr

Benefits – Full-time positions are eligible for our comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
