Job summary

Prime Healthcare Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical Ortho Neuro unit. The night shift, 7:00pm–7:30am, offers 3-12 hour shifts and a supportive team focused on safe patient care.

Eligible candidates must hold a current IL RN license, BLS, ACLS within 30 days, and BSN is preferred. A sign-on bonus up to $10,000 is available, and total rewards include benefits and retirement plan.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient3s condition including hemodynamic monitoring and test results.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the DOU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He/She communicates with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• 1. Current and valid State RN License.
• 2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• 3. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Facility Specific Requirements (as applicable, required):
• 4. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
