Novant Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Medical-Surgical unit at Medical Park Hospital in Winston-Salem. The role focuses on post-operative patient care within a dynamic 33-bed unit spanning general and specialty surgical services.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Nursing with an active NC RN license and at least one year of relevant experience, with opportunities for professional growth and ongoing certifications.

Qualifications

• RN with Bachelor’s degree in nursing and active license.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on a 33-bed Medical-Surgical unit for post-operative patients.
• Deliver comprehensive care across general surgery, gynecology, urology, ENT, and plastic surgery.

What You'll Do

Registered Nurse Medical Surgical (RN)

As a Registered Nurse on the Medical-Surgical Unit at Medical Park Hospital, you will provide care on a 33-bed unit dedicated to post-operative patients. This fast-paced unit cares for a diverse surgical population recovering from procedures in general surgery, gynecology, urology, ENT (ear, nose, and throat), and plastic surgery. Nurses on this team deliver comprehensive care to patients with a wide range of surgical needs, from routine recoveries to more complex post-operative cases. The unit offers a dynamic and clinically diverse environment, providing opportunities to develop expertise across multiple surgical specialties while making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
