Job summary

Novant Health in North Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse for our 10-bed Med/Surgical unit. You will care for adult and geriatric patients in a close-knit, team-oriented environment, with an average daily census of 7 to 8 patients and a diverse range of diagnoses including COPD, CHF, A-fib, GI disorders and diabetes.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote positive patient outcomes, deliver evidence-based care, and provide education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state; active status required.
• BLS certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
• One year of acute nursing experience required.

What You'll Do

Registered Nurse (RN) Medical /Surgical

As an RN on our 10-bed Medical-Surgical unit, you will care for adult and geriatric patients in a close-knit, team-oriented environment. With an average daily census of 7 to 8 patients, this unit provides the opportunity to develop strong clinical skills while delivering individualized care. Common patient diagnoses include COPD, congestive heart failure (CHF), atrial fibrillation (A-fib), gastrointestinal disorders, and diabetes-related conditions, offering a diverse and rewarding nursing experience. Working alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in promoting positive patient outcomes and enhancing the overall patient experience.

What We're Looking For

• Education:
  - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  - 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  - If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience:One year of acute nursing experience required.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration:
  - Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
  -Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
