Job summary

Northshore Home Health Care in Memphis seeks a registered nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care in diverse settings, collaborating with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes.

You will apply critical thinking and nursing processes with compassion and integrity to deliver high-quality care, educate patients and families, protect autonomy and dignity, and support safe, cost‑effective practices.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS/PALS specialty certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients accurately based on their medical condition.
• Administer medications as prescribed with knowledge of their use.
• Provide age-appropriate care, including basic self-care activities.
• Develop and evaluate patient and family teaching plans based on learning needs.
• Utilize nursing knowledge to perform treatments and provide services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.
• Assist physicians with procedures and perform technical and manual skills.
• Address psychosocial needs, communicating with social services for hospital and post-discharge care.
• Practice cost-effective care, minimizing waste of supplies and resources.
