Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center in Mansfield, TX is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process in an acute-care setting. You will work Monday through Friday on a 10X4 Day shift and support the hospital's mission and standards.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active Texas license or eligibility, and current Basic Life Support certification, plus at least 12 months of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility.
• Work experience: 12 months of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment using communication and teamwork.
• Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of patient/family care.
• Utilizes the nursing process to deliver quality care throughout the episode.
• Communicates to team, coworkers, patients and families and ensures understanding.
• Creates and maintains a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
• Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written documentation of patient information.
• Provides safe, accurate medication and IV administration.
• Exhibits personal responsibility and initiative for performance and development.
• Maintains quality patient care using the nursing process at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
