Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the 1 North Observation unit to deliver high quality patient care and collaborate with the multidisciplinary Health System team.

New graduates are encouraged to apply. Current NC RN licensure (or compact state) is required. Relocation assistance is available to support onboarding and growth within our hospital. The role emphasizes empathy, clinical assessment, patient safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate's degree in nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Current licensure in North Carolina as a Registered Nurse (or compact state licensure).
  • Greater than one year of experience in critical care, medical-surgical, or emergency nursing preferred.
  • New Graduate Nurses encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses the patient and identifies patient care needs.
  • Plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates patient care.
  • Administers medication as ordered by physician.
  • Establishes collaborative interdisciplinary relationships with other Health System staff and medical staff.
  • Adjusts care based upon age-specific physiological and psychosocial needs.
  • Maintains required competencies.
