Job summary

Mercy is seeking a full-time RN for its Med/Tele 5400 unit with 18 beds, caring for adult acute care patients with pulmonary, cardiac, and telemetry needs. The role emphasizes using the nursing process, coordinating care with other departments, and maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.

Sign-on bonus of $10,000 is offered for qualified candidates with at least 1 year of experience. Certifications in BLS and ACLS are required or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure; must meet state board requirements.
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS required or obtained within 90 days of hire.

• Patient Population: Adult acute care medical-surgical unit specializing in pulmonary, cardiac, and telemetry patients. Nurses care for patients with a wide variety of medical conditions, including COPD, pneumonia, heart failure, arrhythmias, sepsis, renal disease, diabetes complications, and other complex illnesses, while developing expertise in telemetry, respiratory care, medication management, and collaborative patient care.
