Baystate Health invites applications for an inpatient Registered Nurse on a 24‑bed acute care unit at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. This part‑time night shift position runs 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend and holiday coverage, and is located at Springfield 1400 Baystate Medical Center.

The role requires MA RN licensure, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of RN experience. ADN is required; BSN preferred.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

S1400 is a 24‑bed acute care nursing unit that provides care to medical patients that may or may not require telemetry monitoring.

This unit cares for a wide variety of medical issues, including Alzheimer's/dementia, psych, sepsis or other advanced infections, fall/syncope, palliative/hospice, stroke, COVID-19, cardiac diagnosis: atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, acute coronary syndrome, etc.

Our unit population consists of patients ages 20 to geriatrics. In addition to inpatient status, the staff also monitors and cares for patients who have been placed in an observation or outpatient extended stay status.

SCHEDULE:

Part‑time, night shift 7P – 730A

Every other weekend and every other holiday

QUALIFICATIONS:

The base pay range shown above considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training;education/certifications/licensure;and other business and organizational factors. This base pay range does not include our comprehensive benefits package and any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role.

Compensation

Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non‑exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
