Lawrence General Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care to patients ranging from infants to the elderly. The role involves essential nursing responsibilities, including health maintenance, patient education, and clinical decision-making. The ideal candidate possesses strong assessment and communication skills, alongside necessary certifications and a nursing license in Massachusetts.
Our two campuses in Methuen and Haverhill have a total of 320 beds, and we are a full-service, acute care hospital offering comprehensive inpatient medical/surgical units, outpatient care, and 24/7 emergency services. We have three behavioral health units: cardiac telemetry, and critical care service lines. Our Haverhill campus offers all private rooms, and our Methuen campus features a new state-of-the-art catheterization suite and Joint Center of Excellence, named a Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction+ Center for Knee and Hip Replacement.
The Registered Nurse provides care tailored to the specific needs of patients across all age groups, from infants to the elderly. This includes addressing impairments such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, language barriers, and potential victims of abuse. The nurse incorporates our commitment to patient rights, mission, vision, and values into their practice at Holy Family Hospital.
The Registered Nurse is fully responsible for the quality of nursing care provided to individuals and groups. Responsibilities include health maintenance, education, counseling, collaborative planning, and restoring or maintaining optimal functioning and comfort, or providing dignified end-of-life care. The nurse may delegate certain nursing tasks to other registered nurses or healthcare personnel, but remains accountable for patient outcomes within their scope of practice.
The ideal candidate must have excellent assessment, clinical, organizational, and computer skills, as well as charge capabilities. Must be able to lift, transfer, and move patients safely. Effective verbal and written communication skills in English are required, along with the ability to perform mathematical computations necessary for treatment protocols.
