Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing practices according to the most up-to-date evidence-based research, policies, and standards of care to ensure safe, individualized patient care.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare team members regarding patient status, care, and treatment plans.
• Administer medications using the latest bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure safety.
• Document assessments, care plans, interventions, and evaluations electronically at the point of care.
• Provide patient and family education to promote health, wellness, and disease management.
• Participate in multidisciplinary discharges to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license.
• BLS/CPR certification by the American Heart Association.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to obtain within three years of hire.
• At least six months of nursing experience or active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health’s Nurse Residency Program.
• Telemetry certification preferred.
• ACLS and national certifications preferred.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, and demonstrate accountability, teamwork, ongoing education, and a passion for high-quality patient care.
