Job Summary and Qualifications

• This is a Part-Time Day shift position, 7:00am - 7:00pm, including weekends and holidays.

As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborating with providers and the care team, following established nursing models. You will advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, ensuring an outstanding experience and positive outcomes. Our RN Med Surg Ortho nurses treat patients with musculoskeletal conditions from surgeries, traumatic events, or chronic conditions like arthritis or infections.

What You Will Do in This Role

• Assess patient condition during admission and shifts, reporting changes promptly.
• Perform procedures, monitor, and document care, administer medications, and respond to therapeutic outcomes.
• Respond to patient requests, anticipate needs, and resolve issues.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatments, and follow-up care, translating complex info clearly.

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Associate Degree required at hire; BSN within 24 months.
• Current RN license in TX or compact license.
• Current BLS from AHA or Red Cross.
• At least one year of recent acute care hospital experience.
• Experience in Ortho preferred.
• Charge/supervisor experience preferred.
