Job description

Summary: This role is for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Med Surg, responsible for utilizing the nursing process to deliver patient care, ensuring professional accountability, and evaluating the effectiveness of care provided by others.

Key duties

Coordinating patient care with multidisciplinary teams, maintaining patient rights and confidentiality, and performing duties aligned with mission and standards. Nurses gain experience with diverse adult medical conditions such as bowel obstructions, respiratory infections, cellulitis, diverticulitis, and pneumonia, developing core clinical skills like assessment, time management, and care coordination.

Qualifications

Qualifications require a graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active RN license in Missouri or compact licensure. Prior hospital experience and BLS certification are preferred. Additional BSN, specialty certifications, or experience in clinical settings are advantageous.

Physical demands

Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, prolonged standing, and mobility to perform nursing duties.
